01What is a cookie, really?
A cookie is a tiny text file a website stores in your browser. It can remember whether you're signed in, what's in your cart, and so on. We also use local storage, which is similar but doesn't get sent with every request — it's where we keep your sign-in tokens and your cookie preferences.

These keep the site working. They can't be turned off because the site would break without them.

03How to change your choices

04Do Not Track
We don't currently honor the browser's "Do Not Track" signal because there's no consensus on what it means. We do honor your cookie preferences, which is the more meaningful signal.
